When to make the move
Most parents and child experts agree that there isn't a magic number for when to move your child from the crib to a bed. Age 3 tends to be a rough average, but it's a very individual decision. To read up on the subject check out Toddlers Today. Here are a few factors to consider:
- Has your baby physically outgrown the crib?
- Is your child potty trained? (Check out the potty training article for tips and advice on this topic)
- Is your child climbing in and out of the crib without assistance?
If you answered yes to some or all of these questions it may be time to get shopping.
