Nicolas Cage

Nic Cage... The man, the myth, the hair.  Everyone knows who this fellow is, so let's start off with some fun facts about him that you might not have known. * He was born Nicolas Coppola, and is the nephew of the famous director Francis Ford Coppola.  He changed his name to avoid the appearance of his superstardom being attributed to anything other than his amazing acting and stunning glare. * He once owned a medieval castle in northeast Germany and a $7 million dollar island in the Bahamas. * In 2009, the IRS claimed the actor failed to pay $6 million in federal income taxes.  No worries though, Cage just sued his business manager for $20 million.  Score!

His Best

I happen to be in the group that thinks that Nic Cage is a great actor, but his movie choices are hit or miss.  Here are the hits. * Some people forget that Leaving Las Vegas''. * Roger Ebert added the comedyjonze'>Adaptation'' to his "Greatest Movie" collection. * Nic's big dumb action flicks obviously don't get the awards, but some of my basic cable favorites include ''Lord of War''.

His Worst

The greatest thing about Nic Cage is that his misses are just as entertaining, if not more so, than his hits, because of his deadpan delivery of unintended humor.  And don't forget his creative ways of hiding that hairline. * ''The Wicker Man''.  All I can say is, ''buy this movie''.  It is the funniest picture of all time, but it was meant to be a horror flick. * Nic always wanted to be in a comic bookcage'>Ghost Rider''. * Cage plays a burnt out assassin in ''Bangkok Dangerous'', though many felt it was more like a burnt out premise and a burnt out career.
