Unless you've been living under a rock lately, you've no doubt heard of lululemon and its line of yoga gear and other workout wear. The Canadian company was founded in 1998 with the express purpose of getting women more involved in sports, specifically through yoga, and since its inception, it has become one of the leading fitness brands around today. Walk into practically any studio in the US and Canada and you will see yoginis draped head to toe in lululemon pants and tanks, perfecting their Urdhva Dhanurasana on lululemon mats, and toting everything in matching bags. Certainly it's a bit odd that yoga, a notably ascetic lifestylefitness regime, now requires so many accouterments, but it's obvious that whatever Lulu is selling, people will most definitely be buying.
Women's Athletic Pants
Lulu's pants are offered in a variety of lengths and feature four-way stretching capabilities and hidden pockets (so you can sneak snacks while you're practicing your splits).
Men's Athletic Pants
Most of the fellas won't be looking for tight leggings to showcase their, er, assets, but guys, you still need a pant that moves with you during Sun Salutations.
Women's Tops
You might be really hardcore and go from your bikram class to the track, so you'll want a top that supports you where you need it. lululemon's tops and tanks offer different cup sizes (and cups can easily be removed) and adjustable straps for maximum comfort.
Men's Tops
Workout wear has always been about wicking and breathability, isn't it? Well guess what, it still is. When you've got a good thing going....
Mats, Mats, Mats
Most gurus will say you can do yoga with no equipment of all, but to those of us who have felt the distinct pain of hip bone on hardwood floors, well, let's just say a mat can really make things more comfortable.
