iPhone vs. Droid

Welcome to the battle of the ultimate smartphones. In the one corner we have the widely popular, ultra sleek Droid X, part phone, part robot. When there's no limit to what Droid gets, there's not limit to what Droid does. We'll break down this guide by features and compare the phones to see who will reign supreme.

Dollar Talk and Verdict

Well how much is all this crazy smart technology going to cost me? Both the 16GB iPhone and the Droid X are $200 (unless you're due for special upgrade prices from Verizon). Just like with any other phone, you need to sign up for a 2 year contract. The cheapest iPhone plan is around $55 for 450 minutes and 200MB of data. The cheapest Droid plan is about $70 for 450 minutes and unlimited data. The most expensive plan for the iPhone is $95 for unlimited minutes and 2GB of data. The Droid is $115 for unlimited minutes and data. Although the Droid X is more expensive, it might be worth it in the long run for their unlimited plans. Consider how much time you actually spend using the phone as opposed to texting and surfing the web. The iPhone is definitely the "must-have" phone but a lot of people are worried about switching to AT&T's unreliable network. Since I am in the market for a smartphone, I've read ''a lot'' of positive reviews for the Droid X. People really seem to love both phones and they each have some amazing features. Steal your friend's phone for a day and test it out for yourself. Don't jump on the Apple bandwagon without checking out the competition. Remember, when other phones can't, Droid does! (I am in no way supporting Droid. Their slogan is just epic.)
