Avoid the Snack Traps
Depending on where you are in your day, whether your heading into a workout or a long meeting, you'll want to pay attention to the nutrition label of your bar. Some snack bars out there are nearly as bad as a Snickers bar when you look at the calorie and sugar content. Try to keep the calories of your bar lower than 200 calories if you're just snacking or you're getting up there to the danger zone. If you're munching post workout sesh, then you can go to the 200 to 300 calorie zone. A great bar for both previous categories is the Cranberry Apricot & Almond Clif Bar. You'll also want to make sure that the fat content in the bar is coming from healthy unsaturated fat like nuts.
