Tips on Replacing Your Windshield Wiper Motor
Your
windshield wiper motor will become faulty because rainwater will eventually enter the motor and rust its components. Duh. Below are some more obvious tips.
* When you have replaced your
motor park.
* Once you've attached the wipers properly, the
motor can then be wired so that you don't end up damaging the hood with incorrectly attached wipers.

Unless you're a mechanic, this will prove to be tricky. For example, here areĀ some of the confusing directions you'll find online:
* "You're going to want to make sure that you have all four
bolts stuck in through their rubber mounting sleeves."
* "As you can see, I have my solenoid pack here which has a hook that will slip over my upper mounting bolt and behind one of the mounting
washers."
* "If you have other devices that bolt down via your
wiper motor, the solenoid pack, or any other device and get the bolts tight all at the same time."
* "That is the proper procedure for installing the
wiper motor."
It's worth it to spend a couple of bucks and allow a certified technician or auto mechanic to perform this operation.
