windshield wipers left squeaking. Driving with a dirty windshield can be very dangerous so always make sure your cleaning system is working properly.
Do I Need to Replace My Washer Pump?
Although you may find yourself stuck in the scenario above, do not automatically assume that replacing your washer pump is the solution. Here are some steps to take to determine what might be causing the issue. If none of these seem to fix the problem, or if you're just not to keen on tinkering with cars, always get a mechanic to find and fix the problem.
* First and foremost, do you have enough
antifreeze in there too (if it's winter)?
* Next, check to see if you have a leak in your
reservoir. If you've noticed a rapid loss of fluids, this is most likely the problem. Feel along the seams to make sure there are no cracks or wet spots.
* Also check the
RTV silicone sealer to apply to the pump opening.
* Now we will check if the pump is working. Have someone push the fluid button while you listen to hear if there are any strange noises.
* If it appears to sound okay, disconnect the
hose from the pump and repeat the test. If you don't get a solid stream, it's time for a new pump.
* If you get a solid stream, repeat the same test but this time where the hose is connected to the
nozzles. If the nozzles are the problem, you can either clean them out or replace them.

When ordering replacement parts online, make sure to select the correct year and model of your car to ensure that the part will properly fit.
