Sarduy
It would do Sarduy, a disciple (and who wasn't or isn't) of Lezama, no justice to call this another neo-baroque Cuban masterpiece. It is so firmly, its own. To the European/American/indigenous/African mumbo of the others, Cobra adds a Chinese influence. The story ostensibly revolves around a transvestite named Cobra. Again, it's really all about the language, each sentence its own complex poem.
