Sure it may seem a little ridiculous to you, but it's time to face the cold, hard facts: a baby doll needs to be clothed and accessorized too! It's only fair right? After all, a baby doll is a child's pride and joy. Since your little one is a bit too young to be shopping, it's up to you to help make a baby doll the happiest and best looking doll in town. You'd be amazed at how many pieces are available for baby dollsit will be like shopping for an extra child.
Baby Girl Dolls
* '''Dresses''' - For a young child, dresses are probably the easiest to change the baby doll into. The most popular ones are usually pink or white but yellow and lilac are a nice alternative. Adorable details such as lace, bows, and ruffles top them off perfectly. Casual dresses are also a nice alternative to the frilly doll dresses you see everywhere. Think Raggedy Ann but cuter.
* '''Pajamas''' - There's always your standard nightgown, but onesies are where it's at! Some even come with those attached feet that you know you wore when you were a youngin'.
* '''Shoes''' - Whether it's a little slipper or a mary jane, a baby doll must not go shoeless!
* '''Hats''' - Hats can really complete outfits. A bonnet goes well with a dress or some other daytime outfit and if she has pajamas on, how about a simple flower headband?
* '''Bib''' - When it comes to playing pretend, feeding time is bound to happen. Even though there is no physical food to be used (at least while you are aware), a bib is a nice little accessory.
Baby Boy Dolls
* '''Jeans''' - Girl dolls can wear these too but with the doll dress selection available out there, they have more clothing options than the boys do. These are versatile and all you need to do is change up the shirt every once in a while. Tired of regular jeans? Try overalls!
* '''Shirts''' shirts, what is your baby boy doll going to sport?
* '''Pajamas - '''For PJs, a onesie will do. Since there are onesie pajamas available for girl baby dolls, you can get it in a blue or green or even all white.
* '''Hats -'''Try a baseball hat for daytime and a simple nightcap for when he's in his pajamas.
* '''Shoes '''- Sneakers will look good with any outfit.
Miscellaneous Accessories
Still hunting for a few extras that will make for a happy doll owner? Don't forget these necessities:
* '''Diapers '''- A much needed accessory. Teaches children how to put a diaper on a baby maybe even before they are out of theirs.
* '''Pacifier '''- Not all baby dolls allow for a pacifier to be inserted but if they do, this is also a must have.
* '''Rattle '''- The only toy accessory that you probably need for a baby doll.
