Thanksgiving Living Room Decorations
It's Thanksgiving. This is when you're supposed to be thankful for all the good things that came your way and things that have yet to come (like your guests, who you believe should be thanking you for cooking a nice meal, decorating the house, and hosting). Speaking of hosting! You can't get away with a slap-dash preparation. You have to make your house look nice and, especially when it comes to the living room, there are a few key things you should focus on.
Candle, Holders, and Scented Decorations
Lighting is essential. There are so many things you can do with candles and their place settings. Not only do they provide more natural lighting, but they also rejuvenate the air so you can chase away any staleness before your guests arrive. So, now the question is, "how do I decorate with them?" If you want to keep things simple you can go with plain votive or pillar candles in a glass holder. For a themed look, you can place wreaths made of pine combs, wax fruit, or leaves around candles of differing sizes. If you choose
turkeys. Last, but not least, you can also decorate the room with potpourri.
Wreaths and Floral Arrangements
If you plan on using flowers, pick fall beauties like burgundy mums, carnations, sunflowers, and Peruvian lilies. Roses also look nice, but don't feel like you need to buy the red oneslasting seasonal decor.
Arts and Crafts Pieces
This is when you have freedom to get
plastic flowers, cranberries, and flowers in and around it.
Pumpkins and Gourds
You'll probably still have some left over from Halloweenjust remember they're for looking nice, not roasting seeds. If you want decorations that can be used year after year, buy wax and plastic imitations, figurines shaped like pumpkins, and wall hangings with pumpkin designs.
