''Strangers With Candy'' follows Jerri Blank as she tries to straighten up and return to her life in high school, after decades on the streets. With some deeply misguided help from her teachers and peers, Jerri manages to to come out of each episode's Dark Comedy
While some deride or even embrace the show as undvd'>after school special is warped, so that Jerri learns that popularity is the most important goal in school or that drugs make school more fun. The show does not endorse racism or eating disorders, it pokes fun at the social conventions surrounding them.
