Tips and Trends

Hair

Neat buns are all the rave this season. At designer Charlotte Ronson's  fashion show, she let us in on how stylish this look can be. It screams sophistication and elegance without being too uptight.

Tip: Use TIGI Bed Head After-Party Smoothing Cream  to keep flyaways in place and hair looking shiny and smooth.

Big Braids are reigning supreme. According to Glamour  it's the go-to style to show off your sexiness. You can either sport your do in a side ponytail or pin it up to crown your head. Either way is stylish and fun as seen in Alexander Wang's 2010 Spring runway show.

Tip: Don't grab hair too tight, a loose braid makes you look carefree and fun.

Voluminous hair will take you over the edge from semi-fashionable to ultra chic. You can toss aside your flat iron  for the weekend and let your hair be free to be big.

Tip: Try Tresemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray  for a tousled yet put-together look.

Nails

This season put those pale neutrals up on the shelf because it's time for your digits to be as bright as the sun.

If neon is just too out-there for you, opt for metallic hues that are more subdued but still flattering and bold. Paw Dog  in Silver is great for showing off your confidence and style.

Eyes

Though heavy liner  can still be spotted on several '10 runways, the general trend is for soft, smoky eyes (need help here?  Check out our helpful guide).  Colors are lighter and the effect should tend towards a touch of fantasy.  Think violet eyeliners  (the must-have item this spring), pastel  lids or shimmery metallics .

To up the fantasy factor and give yourself a set of properly fawn-like doe eyes, consider false eyelashes .  Consider indulging here, as better brands are much more durable.  Don't forget the adhesive !

Lips

Lips are either very neutral or rock 'em red.  Red lipstick  is a good way to transition out of those winter doldrums.  Shiseido is launching its Perfect Rouge  line this year, which has plenty of bold options.  Not sure which shade is best for you?  Check out our guide to wearing red lipstick.

The mod scene of the 1960s inspired Dior  and Chanel  this season, so look for nude  and pale colors (Bobbi Brown even went so far as to apply foundation  to models' lips!), and pair with a subdued smoky eye.

Brows

There is not a real consensus on eyebrows this spring: some stylists are saying that it's all about a strong, rich brow that is filled in with pencil  or a matte shadow  and set with gel .  Keep the rest of the face simple and allow your brows to make the statement.

Others, however, are predicting a natural brow, one that complements the ethereality of the face.  In this case, let them grow in and trim any unruly hair with scissors .  Remember, this look should be effortless and subtle, with no hard edges.

Ears

Your ears shouldn't have to hang low, that's a job for your earrings, especially for 2010. This season save the studs for business and decorate your ears with chandelier earrings for every other occasion.

These Juicy Couture  chandelier earrings are perfect for a night out with the ladies or to dress up a casual jeans and tank weekend outfit.
