Bike Brake Calipers

Brake calipers are attached to the bike frame directly above the tire and generally consist of two arms with brake shoes.  When a caliper break is activated the brake shoes press evenly on the rim of the tire or disk to slow the bike.  Whether your should install a rim or disc brake system on your bike depends on your biking activities.
