Carburetor Spacers and Adapters
The tricky question for those trying to specialize their car: Do
carburetor spacers actually work and are they worth it? You'll want to do some heavy research on this one because the consensus is that the difference in output and power is minimal. However, this does not mean they don't work, just that you want to find the best one. Sometimes racing regulations require aluminum
car customization parts.
Spacers
Carburetor spacers are used for two purposes: to keep the engine heat away from the carburetor and to produce more power.
* They can be made of several different materials: wood,
phenol resins and aluminum.
* You will want something that will reduce the heat the most.
Wood will insulate the most but its durability is questionable.

Adapters
Adapters are used for fuel injection purposes. Basically, for different types of

Electronic fuel injection (EFI): This system uses meters and sensors to determine the amount of fuel need to be injected at any given time.
