MP3 Players by Sony

As you might expect, Sony makes trendy mp3 players.  CNet rated the Network Walkman NW-HD5  (below, center) as one of their top three non-iPod mp3 players. Avoid their older players and stick with the newer models, which have better functionality and support more types of music files.

NW-E400 Series  and NW-E500 Series

Sony Network Walkman NW-HD5 

  • With the 20GB hard drive you easily store up to 13,000 songs.
  • you can squeeze 40 Hrs playback with the removable rechargeable battery.
  • Connects to USB 2.0 port for high-speed data transfer.
  • Got high marks from CNet for an easy to use design and excellent sound quality.
  • Skip-free G-Protection Technology black11bprovides quick recovery from both horizontal and vertical  shock
  • Comes in several colors, including a fierce shade of red.

Walkman Bean - NW-E300 series 

  • Small and adorable, but not necessarily worth the price.
  • Built-in USB connector for faster music transfers.
  • Up to 50 hours of playback life with  the rechargeable  battery.
  • Comes in a variety of colors including pink and black.
  • CNet gave it only average reviews, saying that the sound quality is not great, the player is difficult to use, and the accompanying software is not user-friendly.
