There are some things you'll need to know before you purchase any gloves or mittens.
* Make sure they're quality waterproof. There's nothing worse than wearing soggy, freezing cold gloves on your already freezing hands.
* Make sure they fit properly. You don't want a pair of gloves that are too small and are going to cut off your circulation, and you don't want gloves that are too big because you don't want them falling off.
* Make sure they're made of durable material. With all the grabbing, fastening, holding, carrying you're going to be doing with your gloves, you're going to need a pair that will last.
* Make sure they work with your jacket. I'm not just talking about style, but making sure that your gloves fit properly with your jacket is very important. Put on the gloves, then put on the jacket, then check and see if the you are going to be exposing skin between your jacket and gloves.
* Know where you're going to ride. If you know you'll be hitting the halfgloves'>pipe/spring gloves.
* Obviously you can't forget about warmth. Buy a pair that will stay warm throughout your day on the slope.
