Uses
A Brief How-To
There are a few ways to use a sheet suspender:
* As seen in the image above, one can simply attach the strap to two perpendicular sides, creating security at the corner. There are minipack'>pack, you can do this at every corner, or as needed.
* One can also attach the suspenders at several points along the mattress, not unlike the slats that make up the lower frame and hold up the boxspring. This should be done across the width of the bed. This method almost certainly requires lifting the mattress, but keeps the sheet from riding up in the middle.
* Watebeds call for the opposite, with the straps going vertically, along the length of the bed.
* The straps can also be attached diagonally. Simply attach at one corner, drag other end to the strap to the corner diagonal to it, and attach. Repeat for the remaining corners.
But how to attach? It's best to gather a little of the sheet material over the button or protruding part of the strap, and fasten the button hole over them both. The reverse is a bit harder, but still possible. Some styles have metal clips or clasps that are easier to grip the sheet with. You may need to prop up your mattress, though depending on how much space you have, you can stretch the suspenders around and under the mattress as needed. If you do need to lift your mattress, make sure your bed skirt.
