It can lessen spreading of smoke if there's a fire. * It is also used in wood varnishes. However, these are not as durable to UV rays as other coating substances.

Application of Floor Sealant

The general rules for applying floor sealant don't change drastically depending on the type of surface but the details do make a difference.  In all cases it will require water, roller. * Since the sealant is going to cover any dust, dirt, or stains currently on the floor make sure you clean the entire area you intend to seal before you begin. * Starting in the far corner apply the sealant throughout the space, working your way away from the walls and toward the exit. * Make sure you don't leave any puddles or goops of sealant. Spread it as evenly as possible. * If you're sealing concrete, one coat is enough. wood require another layer. * Be sure to go with the grain or pattern of the floor you're sealing. * Make sure to ventilate the room when you finish to avoid asphyxiation. Some brands make odorless or sand down any spots that weren't coated evenly.
