Masts

mast is a tall vertical spar or an arrangement of spars that are used to support the sails in the ship. Different kinds of masts include:

Yardarms
Yardarms are horizontal spars on masts from where the square sails are hung. These spars could be made of timber, steel, or even aluminum.
Cordage
