Some of the biggest movies that you've seen of the nineties were probably directed by Robert Zemeckis, an American filmmaker from Back to the Future''.
While the eighties seemed like a golden period in Zemeckis' career, he was just warming up. In the 1990s the director went on to make some of the most memorable films in American cinema. Screen legend Tom Hanks has teamed up with Zemeckis for several pictures, including the 1994 magnum opus comedy/drama ''Forrest Gump'', which earned the latter an Academy Award for Best Director.
