• Built-in mic for recording

ce2100 

• The ce2100 is a great compact player that looks very similar to the Carbon Pearl.
• Unfortunately, the ce2100 costs only slightly less than the Carbon Pearl with half the storage space.
• You'll probably be better off just choosing the Carbon Pearl, but this isn't a bad player.

Forge Sport 

• The rugged-look Forge Sport is well-designed and generally performed well in tests.
• It has a long battery life, easy to read/use interface, and holds its own against the shuffle.
• Right-hand-centric; FM tuner included, but reception is poor.
