Pocket Squares

Pocket squares  have been out of fashion for quite a while now. Thankfully, we're seeing a resurgence in the use of squares in suits! So rush out and buy a few colors to match your favorite outfits, because a well placed pocket square is a great way to bring out your personality and style. It also makes a single suit a lot more versatile! But if you've never done this before, you might want to read our guide to get a good understanding of it all before hitting the stores.

What Color?

Pocket squares should complement your tie,  but they should not be identically colored. For example, if your tie is blue with green triangles, do not get a pocket square that's blue with green triangles. Instead, get a solid green pocket square so you look stylish--not cheap. Some fun options are solid ties with funky patterned squares or vice versa.

How Do I Fold This Thing?

Folding pocket squares is an art form of its own. There are three easy folds to make. The rectangle is just a square fold with a rectangular square poking out of your breast pocket. The triangle is a square fold turned sideways so you have the classic triangle-peeking-out look. For more creative types, you can try the "puff" look.
