Pins are small devices used to stick or fasten really tiny hammer to get them where they need to go. Probably one of the oldest pieces of equipment used in dressmaking, pins have practically uses and are not limited to just dressmaking. Pins are usually used in the following:

* Office Use - Pins can be used to stick memos to corkboards, or used as markers for maps and diagrams.
* Hospital Use linens'>linens.
* School Use badges'>badges.
* Theater or Stage Play Use costumes'>costume alterations.

Pincushions
A pincushion is a small cushion, measuring approximately 3 to 5 centimeters across. It is designed to rigidly hold pins so they don't roll or scatter all over the place. Traditionally they are shaped like threads attached to their ends.
