Origami Paper
Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding ("''Ori''" meaning to fold, and "''gami''" meaning paper). Origami has been dated back to the 17th century A.D., but didn't become popularized until the mid 1900s.
Types of Origami Paper

Foil backed paper holds a fold better than other papers, and is great to use in more complex designs. It consists of a sheet of thin foil glued to another sheet of thin paper

Washi is a traditional Japanese type of paper made of the fibers from the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub, the paper mulberry, bamboo, rice, hemp, or wheat.
* Artisan papers have long fibers and are also very strong. Types of Artisan papers include
abaca.
* Paper money can be used to make Origami from dollar bills. It's also called
Money Origami.
* Virtually any type of paper material can be used in Origami, as long as it holds a fold. Why not keep green and use
recycled papers for your artistic creations?
