There is no black hole of despair greater than the one caused by the loss of hard work. If you're a photographer you may have experienced this. Negatives are so crucial it's ridiculous. If anything happens to them, you've just wasted most of your time. Fortunately there's a way to store, protect, and organize them for later use, so you can reprint them without the fear of alterations or damage from light, heat and fingerprints. After your first successful attempt to shoot a wedding, the soup a negative and print it to a positive. Let's avoid the return of Bridezilla if possible, shall we? Just get these sheets. You'll be happy you did.
Things to Consider
* You'll want to purchase a few binders to go along with these storage sheets if you don't already own a few.
* You're probably going to have different sized prints and negatives, depending on the film and the size you want to print onto photographic paper. This means also having a variety of sheets that will fit different print sizes.
* Common sizes for film and negatives include 135 (35mm), APS, 110 (111mm x 16mm) and 120. Large photography uses sheet film, but you won't be storing huge photos in a binder, now will you?
* There are sheets just for negatives, sheets that hold both prints and negatives, and sheets that only hold prints. The ones that only hold prints can either be standardized to fit one size (i.e. 4"x6" photos), or multiple sizes (i.e. 4"x6" and 9.5"x11").
* Slide sheets are also handy to have for storing projector images.
* You can buy them with white or black backgrounds.
