NHL Hockey Buying Guide

Ice hockey,  the popular sport that originated in Montreal, Canada, can list its origins back to as early as 1875--and professional hockey has existed since the 1900s! Canadians and Americans make up a majority of the players in the NHL League,  and hockey in the United States has a very intense, concentrated group of fans. Ice hockey is a unique contact sport that allows for lots of emotional expression from the players and fans, and it's one of the few spectator sports that is played on an ice rink. Hockey teams are separated into the Eastern and Western Conference and then divided again by region. As these teams play throughout the season, the top eight teams from each conference enter the Stanley Cup Playoffs to determine which team will reign victorious in successive games of best out of seven.
