Leather jackets come in so many styles, but ultimately, they boil down to four basic types:

brown. More free spirited types will want a more colorful jacket, be it in the form of stripes, decals, patches, or other detailing. And remember, don't let your clothes wear you. If you don't have confidence, it doesn't matter what you wear, you will not be able to pull it off.
Like a Second Skin?
As important as style is, nothing matters more than fit. Determining the correct fit for a leather jacket takes patience, but as with all clothes, the right fit will do wonders:
* Make sure the shoulders fit properly. A leather jacket should fit snugly around the shoulders, but neither too tightly nor too loosely.
* Since tailoring is out for most leather jackets, make sure the arms are just long and wide enough. Excess fabric can bunch or make you look heavier.
* Under the nofabric umbrella, having higher cut armholes helps keep a jacket's overall look very trim.
* Leather should be fairly soft and yielding. While it's possible to break a jacket in with care, stiff jackets tend to stay stiff.
* For some jacket styles, like the Motocross, it might be worth it to try a jacket that's one size down. This will ensure a tighter fit, which flatters some styles more than others.
* A good leather jacket should just touch the waist. Of course, Fatigue style jackets DO come down lower, but not by much. Anything lower and you're dealing with a coat, not a jacket.
