Projects around the house always seem to involve items just out of reach: installing a light fixture, painting, replacing the molding, changing a storage reasons.
Of course, like any tool, there's a safe way to use a stepladder, and a dangerous way. Below are some Do's and Don't's for stepladder safety.
* Do use a stepladder that makes sense for the project.
* Don't use an aluminum can conduct electricity.
* Do use the threestepladder'>stepladder: either have two hands and a foot in contact with the ladder, or two feet and a hand.
* Don't horse around on the ladder or overwork yourself while on the ladder.
* Do pay attention to your ladder's weight limit.
* Don't overload the platform. Seriously, don't do that. Weight often includes the user and the user's tools.
