Counter Space Solutions

The biggest complaint against small kitchens? No counter space. The space needed for food prep is often occupied by appliances and a dish rack, among other things. There are two ways to tackle this problem: increase the space available on the counters and add other surfaces where possible.  You can also add surface space to your kitchen by adding furniture. It seems counterintuitive, but as long as you're smart about it, you won't lose much floor space in your kitchen.

Storage

You can also double your space by thinking vertically; fridge. This gives everything in the room a place, resulting in less frustration when it comes time to clean up or get out your favorite mug.
