* Step 1: Make sure you're hair is at least shoulder length, longer hair will work best. If your hair is short, feel free to give this a try but it might not be able to twist completely up onto your head.
* Step 2: Comb or brush your hair so that all of the knots and tangles are out. Continue this until you can run your fingers through it without resistance.
* Step 3: Create a loose ponytail with the hair framing your face however you find it flattering. All of the hair around your face should stay in place, only the hair in the ponytail will do the twisting so make sure that you're happy with how it looks from the front.
* Step 4: Hold the ponytail in your hand and start twisting (doesn't matter which direction you twist) until you feel the base of the ponytail tighten against your head.
* Step 5: Hold the ponytail upright, with the ends of your hair close to the top of your head.
* Step 6: Fold the end of your ponytail down, tucking it in between the back of your head and the rest of your hair. Make sure that all the hair is neatly tucked away for an exceptionally clean look.
* Step 7: As you tuck the top of your ponytail in, roll the rest of your hair smoothly towards one side of your head tucking everything into the roll. Keep pushing and tucking hair into the roll until it feels secure against your scalp.
* Step 8: Secure it in place with bobby pins or a nice hair clip. The thickness of your hair will determine how many pins you'll need.
Don't worry if it doesn't look perfect the first time! You'll need to practice a few times in order to figure out how to conceal the pins and make everything nice and smooth.
