Jeez, look at this mess. You are one step away from being featured on an episode of Hoarders. There's the scrapbooking supplies in the kitchen that you swear you are going to start using as soon as you find the time. Any day now. You've got your entire life's collection of Christmas ornaments in a mangled box sitting in the middle of the living room since you've taken down the tree. It's July. It's time to step back and reassess the situation.
Bedroom and Living Room Storage
* Closet Storage: If your closet needs a little more organization, try a shoe rack for the bottom. There are also hanging linen cubbies that can hold a bit more clothes than just hanging them on the rod.
* Under the Bed: Utilize the space under the bed. You can tuck away bins and bags of shoes, nick nacks, even store the out of season clothing under there until the weather changes.
* Dresser/Cabinet: You can find dressers to match any decor, from fun bright colors for kids rooms to beautifully carved wooden cabinets for a sophisticated look.
* Bookshelves: Whether in your bedroom or living room, consider a bookshelf not only for your favorite Stephen King novels but the shelf space can be used for figurines and other decorations.
* CD/Movie racks: Keep your entertainment center looking sharp with racks for your music and movies. That way you can easily pick what you are looking for.
Kitchen and Bathroom Storage
* Tupperware: Tupperware is a staple in any kitchen. You never want to waste valuable leftovers.
* Dish rack: Dish racks are needed next to the sink so you have a place for your dishes to dry.
* Utensil Holder: These can be slipped into drawers so you can easily stack like utensils together.
* Toothbrush Holder: You gotta keep your teeth clean and you've got to keep your toothbrushes in place!
* Pot rack: A hanging pot rack is a great way to utilize the space on your wall or ceiling and save the cabinets for other things.
Storage for the Yard
* Shed: If you've got the room, consider buying a shed. You can keep everything stored in here; garden tools, lawn chairs, hammocks, etc.
* Garbage Bins: If you keep your garbage bins out in the yard, you'll need a couple; one for garbage and one for recycling.
* Bike stand: Have a family full of bikers? Get a bike stand for your patio.
