Outdoor Green Vegetable Plants

Ever dreamed of having your own veritable garden in your backyard, from which you can pick sunwatered mint leaves? As long as you have a small patch of loosened soil and a sunny area, your dreams can be converted into reality. Some plants should be nurtured in indoor starter cups before you transfer them to your yard, particularly if you're growing them from scratch, or you can buy already growing plants from a local nursery.

Starter Tips

If you're going to be planting in your flower beds, you'll really want  to aerate the soil. Plants can't really grow in compacted yard soil. You  really want nice and loose soil in your flower beds up to a foot deep. You also have to decide what kind of fertilizer you're going to be adding to your flower beds. You may want to take the pH of your soil to make sure you're in a good range for the plants you want to grow. You can add gypsum or lime to alter the pH to get to the level you want.
