Chlorine for General Sanitation
Tablet form is the most commonly used type of pool chlorine. It comes in

As it does its job in your pool or spa, chlorine combines with the sweat, oil and other organic matter from your body and is inactivated. Not only is this muddled chlorine, called chloramine, useless for sanitizing, but it can irritate eyes and make the water cloudy if it accumulates in your pool.
