Kid's Health and Personal Care

Health and hygiene -- two essentials that are best learned at a young age. When you tell your child it's toothbrush  time, he doesn't know that it's not all about a clean set of chompers. It's about forming good habits. Sorry. We can't get your little one to take her vitamins but we can help make sure you're stocked for when you do. Here, find everything you'll need to get those habits started.

Vitamins

With the help of your pediatrician, you can choose the best approach to good health and nutrition for your little one. Here, products that make taking vitamins fun for them, and hopefully a bit easier for you. For more information, please read our Vitamin guide.

Gummies

Chewable vitamins in a variety of flavors. A candy-like consistency similar to Gummy Bears.

Sour Vitamins

Similar to Gummies, but coated with sour sugar. If getting your child to take their vitamins is near impossible, the sugar may be worth it.

Liquid Mutli-Vitamins

Sneak into beverages, soups, applesauce or take recommend dose straight from a spoon or dropper.

Vitamin Gumballs

Claims to deliver a day's dose of vitamins in just 5-10 minutes of chewing.

One-A-Day Chewables

The more traditional chewable daily vitamin.

Bath

Any parent knows that bath time can be a challenge as it usually means bed time. Your best bet? Make it fun for your child and it will be something to look forward to. Some of these products may help.

Kid's Bubble Bath

Fun at any age.

Body Wash

Try a colorful, scented one.

Easy Grip Soap

Great for teaching how to wash.

Terry Cloth Bath Sponge

Bring play time into the tub.

Fizzing Bath Sand

Softens and moisturizes.

Crayola Bath Gel Pens

Filled with bath soap.

Bath Fun Fetti

Creates soothing, scented foam.

Calming Bath

Great for non-stop kids.

Hair

Sure, they're not going for a cut and color every three months, but that doesn't mean your child's hair care is so simple. Between tangles and tears,  it can be quite the challenge. Get a grip on it with these products.

Gentle Hair Care

Mild enough for daily use on delicate skin.

2-in-1 Shampoo

Cut shampoo and conditioner time in half.

No-Tears Shampoo

An ouch-free formula that won't burn your little one's eyes.

No-More Tangles

Leave-in conditioner to make combing through knots easier.

Dental Care

The one thing most kids will try to skip out on, if they can get away with it. As with most hygiene products, the more kid-friendly they are, the more likely your child will be to do it. Think cartoons, color, and flavor!

Kid's Toothpaste

A gentler formula is easier on gums. Adult formula can be too strong on a child's teeth, and gumline.

Toothbrush

An extra soft head is best for kids since they tend to be rough brushers.

2-in-1 Mouthwash and Toothpaste

A good option if gargling has been a bathroom battle.

Sponge Bob Powered Toothbrush

Powered brushes give a good scrub. Great for lazy brushers.

Floss for Kids

Single use, with contoured handles for easy grip, and Disney characters to lure kids in.

First Aid and Medicine

Boo-boos, tummy aches, allergies, colds -- oh my! They're bound to happen. Here, the basics for all your at-home needs. If you suspect your child may need medical attention, see your pediatrician immediately.

Band-Aids

Bug Bite Relief

Pain Relief

No-Sting Liquid Bandage

Organic Care

If you live a green lifestyle and want to raise your child the same, you'll probably not only want organic foods, but organic body care products too. They're not as readily available as non-organic kid's products. Most searches result in general organic products, not kid-specific ones. Those made specifically for kids are noted with an asterisk below.

Gentle Organic Soap

Shampoos *

Toothpaste*

Deodorant

Hand Soap

Just for Tweens

So your child is hitting that age. She's not a kid anymore, and she's not quite an adult. As her body changes, so will her needs.

Acne-fighting cleanser
Look for ones with benzoyl peroxide, glycolic or salicylic acid for best results.

Facial Exfoliant

Rid your skin of dead cells so that acne medicine can easily penetrate and to promote a healthy radiance.

Acne Pads

Another option for treating skin, acne pads are a final touch after cleansing. Be careful as they can cause dryness and irritation if you have dry skin.

Sensitive Deodorant

Gentle on delicate underarm skin, these deodorants are less likely to cause irritation or burning.

Deodorant Soap

An extra boost in the cleansing department. These deodorants combat body odor while giving a thorough wash.
