There are plenty of simple board games for kids to help them work their brains and explore their
vocabulary. They are also a lot of fun and a great way to spend some quality time together, or a great choice for classroom play time.

* Boggle:
Boggle is a classic game that's great for the older kids to adults. Letters are shaken up and fall into a grid and a timer is set. Players have to write down as many words as they can find either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally and they have to be three letters or longer. The longer the words, the more points.
* Scrabble: The original word game to many, this classic dates back to the late 30s and is often
a staple in any board game collection. It's a great way to push the limits of your own vocabulary and learn new words when challenging other players with that dictionary!

Balderdash: Another great game for learning new words and also expanding creativity. A word is drawn and the player in charge of the round is the only one who knows the true definition. The other players have to make up their own definitions and everyone votes on which sounds best. Of course, the real definition is revealed in the end. You'll learn something new everytime you play.

Taboo: a game where you have to get your teammates to guess the right word without using "taboo" words. If you get the word diamond, you'll have to give clues without saying the words baseball, ring, or jewel. Forces players to think outside the box!
