Food Condiments
Food glorious food. We buy it, we cook it, we make it better. How? With condiments of course. If you've ever had a hot dog without mustard, sushi without soy sauce or a taco without salsa, then you know the importance of the sauce; the topping; the condiment.
Condiments can loosely be defined as something we put on food to give it additional flavor or bring out existing flavors. Sauces, spices, and relishes can all considered condiments. Although we often don't think of them as so,
pepper also fall into this category.
Next time you're at someone's house, take a peek in their fridge. It make be jam the condiments; that fridge door is stocked with those few toppings deemed crucial to us all.
