Noir is definitely a genre that lends itself to imitation, so it makes a great deal of sense that a series of spoofs and parodies started to emerge as early as 1945; the hard boiled heroes and femme fatales make easy targets for lampooning. Simply recast the hardened detective as a baby photographer mistaken for a hardened detective: hilarity ensues. This is, of course, a broad example, and there are of course many, many things to mimic and imitate to hilarious effect in noir films, particularly their oppressive tones of gloom and doom.
