Headers are the exhaust pipes that bolt directly onto the cylinders of your engine. These are actually headers.
How Headers Work
In a regular engine, gas, oxygen, and a spark combine in chambers to create a combustion. This pushes a cylinder that powers the drive train. The only problem with this process, is that it creates exhaust. If these useless particles are not sucked out of the engine immediately, the engine will be robbed of power. Regular exhaust manifolds simply combine the exhaust from each cylinder inside the manifold. A header on the other hand, is a sophisticated maze of pipes from each cylinder. These are all of equal length and combined in a collector. This method of dispelling exhaust is superior because the exhaust can more easily flow out of your engine through each individual pipe.
