Espadrilles

Espadrilles  are a great choice for everyday casual footwear that you can always count on for comfort. Espadrille shoes  originate in the Pyrenees mountains  of France, but the name actually derives from the Spanish Catalan name ‘esparto,’ which is the rough Mediterranean grass used in making rope.  They are a type of sandal  which are generally made of a canvas or cotton material on the top of the shoe, although many modern espadrilles are also made of leather or patent leather. The soles are made rope material or sometimes made of rubber and lined with a rope material to give the illusion that  it is a solid rope heel. Since espadrilles have the light-colored heel, they are a great look for summer. Today, many espadrilles are made of jute soles.

Flat espadrilles   can come in many different styles made from with a real or synthetic rope sole. They are a good choice for women who love the espadrille style but prefer to avoid the high heels during summer. Flat espadrilles with ribbons tied up and around the ankle also make great ballerina flats  with a comfortable sole.

High-heel espadrilles   are one of the most comfortable types of high-heel shoes you could wear. Many espadrilles come in slip-on style, but they can also come in ankle-lace style ,ankle-collar style , or sling-back style  which makes the higher heel easier to talk in without slipping off. High heel espadrilles can be in platform  or wedge  form.
