MP3 Players by Cowon

Cowon's iAudio players tend to be feature-packed — video, photo, compatible with all audio, line-in recording, etc. — although some players may be difficult to use for the novice. All have great sound quality and play protected WMA files as well as MP3s.

6

iAudio 6

  • The first Portable Media Player to feature .85 inches HDD, with 4GB of storage.
  • Features "Swing Touch" user interface.
  • Supports multiple file types, including Ogg, FLAC, WAV and ASF, in addition to traditional MP3s
  • Plays video and can be used to store photos
  • Not as much hard drive space as most PMPs.

G2

iAudio G2

  • A great Flash-based player with excellent sound quality
  • A little on the large side for a Flash memory player
  • Uses the slower USB 1.1 instead of the newer, faster 2.0
  • No FM tuner
  • Simple, easy-to-use design
U3

iAudio U3

  • A tiny player that packs a lot of features into a small package
  • Full-color screen can play back video and photos
  • FM tuner and line-in recording
  • Battery life is not great, but not terrible
X5

iAudio X5

  • A terrific player with a 20 GB capacity, a color screen, video playback capability, an FM tuner and line-in recording
  • Some design drawbacks diminish this player's ease of use: USB, power and line-in all connect through a separate adapter (included)
  • Controls and music organization are not as easy to use as they could be, two drawbacks that keep the X5 from being able to take on the iPod
F1 - The F is for Fast

iAudio F1

  • If you always wanted an mp3 player that looks like a Formula 1 (hence F1) racecar, this is the player for you.
  • Complete with a sporty design, the F1 is actually a pretty good MP3 player, although it has a small storage capacity.
  • The switches, buttons and line-in/line-out jacks are cleverly incorporated into the car-like design.
  • Comes in white, black, Lamborghini yellow and Corvette red.
U2

iAudio U2

  • Flash-based player with a 1GB hard drive
  • Convenient drag-and-drop method of moving files to the device
  • Slim size makes this a good pocket-sized player.
