Every year between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, built up stress or small triggers lead thousands of people into the temporary funk known as holiday depression. Personally, I find the Christmas decorations hung up the day after Thanksgiving to be the thing that sets me off (mistletoe) and then take a look at the following tips to help get you through this year.

Exercise is a great way to ease the tensions of depression and anxiety. Exercise can release endorphins in your brain: a.k.a. the "happy" chemicals which make you feel good. It can also reduce immune system chemicals that can worsen depression, as well as increase body temperature which can have a calming effect on the body. Getting in shape also has many psychological and emotional effects too. It can boost your confidence, take your mind off your problems, and allow you to garner social interaction (if you exercise with friends or at a gym).
