Compotes and Trifle Dishes

Exhausted all of the cookie and brownie recipes in your cookbook, but not ready to deal with creme brulee?  Why not make a compote or trifle?   Both compotes and trifle are great dishes to serve during holidays, but of course can be made and served anytime.   Compote and trifle are gorgeous desserts made with vibrantly colored ingredients.  As such, they may be served either in ornate glasses or simple, clear glasses that show off their colors.

Compote is made by soaking fresh fruit, compote glass bowl or another decorative glass bowl.   * Compote can be served from one large bowl, or in separate bowls or glasses.   * You could serve compote in a champagne flute.  

Trifle

There are many trifle bowl should be clear.   * Trifle is frequently served in a antique glass bowl or even a patterned glass bowl or early American patterned glass bowl. * As trifle is a popular Christmas dessert, try a Christmas trifle dish.
