Anita G is the brainchild of Anita Goodall, who founded the company in 1998 as a way to supply parents with "reasonably priced quality garments," according to their website. Although the company was founded in the late 1980s, Anita G introduced their Girlfriends line in 1995, which focuses on pretty dresses, classic sportswear pieces with simple patterns, bright colors, and fun hair accessories.
