Sports Fan Cold Weather Hats

Now that the Super Bowl will take place in an open stadium in New Jersey, you'd better break out the cold weather gear. Until that big day, there will be lots of sporting events taking place in freezing temperatures, which means you will need to bundle up. One cold weather accessory that is worn by both genders is a hat.  It's also a great way to show your support for your favorite professional or collegiate sports team. From wacky to basic, there are so many hats to keep your head warm. Whether you're headed to a game or running a few errands, keeping your head warm is essential if you don't want to catch a cold (well, according to mom). Now, it doesn't matter who you are, there's a hat for you. Here's a quick breakdown of hats to match the many personalities of sports fans.

Keep It Simple

For sports fans who prefer to keep things simple, knit hats or beanies are a great choice. These hats are normally made from wool or a synthetic knit, are fitted, and may or may not be cuffed. To mix things up a little, try a notbasic beanie. Nike's Reversible Team Beanie has two looks when the hat is flipped inside out. For complete head and ear coverage, there are knit beanie caps with extended ear flaps. Reebok's Chicago Blackhawks argyle beanie has rope ties and ear covers so you won't be cold at a game or while outdoors.

For the Dedicated

For all of you wild and wacky fans, there are specialty cold weather hats that are sure to please. Jacksonville may not be a cold city, but the Jaguars fan helmet hat is great for their fans in colder climates. The hat is designed to look like a football helmet and comes with a fleece face guard.  New England Patriots fans can rock a knitted toboggan ski hat that is 33 inches long with alternating stripes.
