This classic series, written by CS Lewis, is one of the most famous children's series of all time, having sold over 120 million copies in 41 languages. The series presents the adventures of four young children, Peter, Suzy, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie and their friends who discover and are asked (by a very regal lion) to save Lewis' beloved fictional universe, Narnia. In Narnia, the animals talk, magic is everywhere, good is always more powerful than evil, and what was once thought to be only imagination, becomes real. The series is made up of seven books and so far has been adapted into two incredibly successful feature length Hollywood films. Christian allegory, traditional Greek and Roman mythology as well as British and Irish fairy tales merge together to create this epic, magical series that has become a trademark of thousands of childhoods around the world.
