Don't be disturbed if your new towels fall flat at first. It takes three to four washes before they'll be come as absorbent, soft, and fluffy as promised. Just avoid adding Further Towel Care
* Always wash dark towels several times before they hit the bathroom for use, otherwise they could bleed.
* You can actually use vinegar to set towel color and remove soap build-up: simply add a cup for the first time washing new towels to seal in the towel color, and a half cup when your towels start to feel waxy or a little dingy.
* When washing towels, use half the amount of detergent you would use on other regular loads of laundry; try to wash your towels separately, in general.
