You got your camera, your lenses, your tripod andyou forgot to make sure your tripod was pimped out and ready for the shoot. You'll just have to cancel your photo session with Justin Beiber. He'll have to find someone else and you won't make you your big break. Unless you get yourself some gear and quick. Run. Run like wind and order what you need!
Types
You might think, "What accessories could a tripod possibly have? It's just a stand." Photography is a huge hobby and, like all expensive hobbies, there are accessories and things made to sell. Don't be concerned, you can find exactly what you needed to help with your shoot and make it even easier.
* '''Head Mount''': This is the piece that attaches to the top of the tripod legs so you can put your camera on it and lock it in with a screw.
* '''Dollies''': These are wheels that the tripod legs rest on. These are useful for motion picture capture. Get your camera out and get ready to be the next Orson Welles. Tracking shots should be epic.
* '''Leg Warmers''': These are used to keep the temperature of the legs regulated. It's mostly for use with metal tripods like steel or aluminum. You can get creative and unique by choosing from an array of designs and patterns. Like camouflage? No problem. Same deal if you want to buy a pink one. Let some personality show on that cold (or hot) metal.
* '''Holders''': These are bags that hold camera accessories and pieces. You can put things like caps, lenses and batteries in there when you're not using them. It should rest on the side of the legs.
* '''Mount Adhesives''': If you want an alternative to screwing in the camera base to the mount, you can use these. Some are re-usable, some are not. Also, remember to be careful with the camera because if you knock it too hard the adhesive may not hold it as securely.
* '''Bubble Levels''': If you want your camera to get the right canted angle, or if you want it to be perfectly horizontal, use the bubble level attachments to indicate the degree of flatness.
* '''Tripod Bag''': Not only are tripods heavy, they're awkward to hold. If you get yourself a bag, it will distribute the weight and won't feel as heavy. Besides that, it's much easier to carry something with a strap than anything where parts jut out, like the tripod alone. (As if that wasn't obvious).
