So your old metal drawer slide is bent or snapped. Here are some tips on how to get out with the old and in with the new.
* Pull the old slide as far out as you can. Then pull up on the back of the drawer. This should unhinge the slides and your drawer will come out.
* Measure your old drawer slides. Make sure the length and width of the rails on your new slides and old slides are the same. Most drawer slides have a set width, so that shouldn't be so hard to match up.
* Unscrew the old screws on the old rails. Some really old rails are nailed or stapled in though.
* Get the new rails. Attach the inside slides to the cabinet. Use a level to place the slides parallel to each other in the cabinet opening.
* Line the drawer slide with the slides inside the cabinets. Then screw them in place.
* You can reinstall the drawer now, the opposite way you disassembled it.
