Seven years of laughter, beheading, sorrow, and stakes through the heart created one of the biggest cult phenomenons in TV history and a pop culture icon. Buffy spans more than just the television, however, as tons of merchandise continues to be created based on the show, even after years of being off the air.

* Buffy continues its season 8 in comic book form. Issues are written by original writers of the show as well as comic book veterans. Season 9 will start in 2011.
* Buffy has also had two video game incarnations: the original self-titled Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Xbox, and Chaos Bleeds, which appeared on Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube.
* There have been dozens of novels written with stories that take place between episodes and seasons. There's even an official Sunnydale High yearbook.
* If you want some intellectual reading, there are many books that study the show in depth. There are tomes on its philosophy gender studies, and some even postulate that Buffy is a spiritual guide.

* If you are a hardcore Buffy fan or known someone who is, awesome prop replicas abound. From Buffy's cross and stake to her stuffed pig, Mr. Gordo, there is something for every fan.
* There have also been dozens of statues and busts created. The latest is the Tooned Up version of characters, created by Electric Tiki, and a new Buffy statue coming out from Sideshow.
* There are plenty of other collectibles: trading cards, action figures, matchbox cars that are mini versions of the vehicles in the show, and so on. If you can think of it, there's probably a Buffy version out there.
