Any child who has ever worn a school shorts there's a good chance the fit will be off. Better get to the store to buy a new pair, but finding the one your child needs might be harder than you think.
Uniform Shorts 101: What to Look For
While other pieces of school uniforms have set guidelines, requirements for shorts are often vague and, in some cases, nonpolos'>polos and shorts.
* The inseam of the shorts must either reach the knee. In some schools, shorts may rest one inch above or below the knee.
* Make sure the waist of the pants is where it should be! Avoid baggy shorts because detention and even suspensions are no fun. If the waist is too big, take the pair of shorts to a tailor or ask the school's administration if belts are permissible.
* Don't even think about wearing navy.
* We know how boys are: they can dirty a pair of pants in a flash or rip it during recess. School uniform shorts should not have any holes, markings, or stains on them. Keep the shorts clean and crisp.
* Since shorts are worn during warmer months, schools allow students to wear cotton fabrics
